Scrubber nozzles: eco-friendly solution for your ship

To protect the environment, in 2008 the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) adopted a resolution on amendments to Annex VI to MARPOL 73/78 Convention relating to the prevention of air pollution from ships through, among other things, reducing SOx emissions.

Sulphur oxides emitted to the atmosphere cause increased acidity of sensitive sea and ocean ecosystems and affect the health of people living near ports, especially those suffering from respiratory diseases. It is estimated that the benefits of reducing SOx emissions are higher than the costs of preventing them.

One of the ways to comply with the IMO global sulphur limit, effective as of 1 January 2020, is to install on ships fuel scrubbers that reduce emissions of SOx resulting from the combustion of traditional marine fuels.

Caring for our customers as well as the environment, we have extended our offer to include scrubber nozzles. Click on the brochure below to read more about them.
